North Jr High Activities Day
On Friday, March 28th youth from the North Junior High School came out to the Del-Tone/Luth Gun Range as part of their Activities Day to shoot some trap. This year the youth came out in two sessions, one arrived at 9:00AM and the second arrived at 12:45PM. Each session had several shooters and each shooter was able to shoot two rounds. Some of the youth had never shot before and some shot like old pro’s. No matter what the prior experience was, they all left with smile on their faces!!!!! I’d like to “Thank” Dave Shelstad of the North Junior High School for continuing to bring the youth out to the club to shoot and also Joe Opitz, Dick Berger and Tom Zitur for volunteering their help with the youth!!
Foley High Trap Shooting
On Sunday, March 23rd the Foley High School Trap Shooting Team had their first scheduled day of shooting at the Del-Tone/Luth Gun Range. Each shooter was also able to shoot several times at which time they worked on their shooting stance and hold points. 39 students make up this year’s team and everyone at the Del-Tone/Luth Gun Range are looking forward to working with these young shooters, seeing them improve and having a fun filled season. The Foley High School team will be shooting at the gun range every Sunday for the next several weeks.
On Sunday, March 9th the Del-Tone/Luth Gun Range held a Winter/Lewis Class Jackpot Shoot. The temperatures were in the 40’s, we only had a slight south wind and there was even some sunshine!!! Great day to be out pulling the trigger!!! A BIG “Thank You” to everyone who came out to shoot.
